Americana Game, Graduate Thesis Project

The Americana Game is my graduate thesis internet art project from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I started coming up with this project back in 2005. The Americana Game talked about how deregulation, bad government and corporate greed would eventually ruin the middle class, the enviroment and cause other issues in the US and around the world(wow and look where we are at now).

The design and interactivity were two very important parts of this project in order to get visiters interested in the game's subject. I created everything in the Americana Game from concepting, designing, animating, illustratin and coding ... which is unlike most websites I work on where I normally just design and art direct.

The full project can be seen at AmericanaGame.com.

The main section of the site showing the town of "Americana". Users would play the game by clicking on the dollars symbols to activate scenerios that would affect the town.
One of the scenerios that talked about government corruption.
One of the scenerios that talked about corporate corruption.
Another scenerio talking about corporate corruption.
This was one of three possible endings in the Americana Game. The ending was determined by how much money the user was able to make during the game.
